As a certified Sports Medicine Technician operating a Med-Fit Clinic out of a local gym, you'll want to market your services as effectively and cost-efficiently as possible. The OptiHealth Network is designed to help you do just that. As you got certified at earlier stages of your professional development, you had the opportunity to get involved in some of OptiHealth's programming. Let's review:
OptiHealth Community Advocate - You volunteered for your church to promote participation in their weekly hosted OptiHealth Free-for-All at a local park, which may have included the Muscles for Billy "Free & Fun Fitness Training," a variety of OptiHealth Sports, and one or more Lifestyle Medicine booths.
OptiHealth Fitness Instructor - You volunteered to instruct participants regarding the exercises and challenges featured in their Muscles for Billy Personal Record Booklets, especially the four "exercise tolerance tests" as a prelude to a Med-Fit Assessment.
OptiHealth Sports Instructor - You volunteered ​to instruct participants regarding the modified games for non-athletes featured in their OptiHealth Sports Personal Stats Booklets.
OptiHealth Lifestyle Advocate - You volunteered to survey participants regarding their Lifestyle Risks and refer them to appropriate Lifestyle Medicine support services, such as a Med-Fit Clinic at a local gym.
Sports Med-Tech Assistant - You trained and possibly worked at the Med-Fit Clinic hosted by your local gym conducting standardized medical-fitness tests on the Med-Fit clients of the gym's certified Sports Medicine Technicians.
Now, as a certified Sports Medicine Technician yourself, you can either:
  • Continue in the roles listed above to market your services and acquire your own Med-Fit Clients at the same gym, or
  • Establish a new OptiHealth Free-for-All at a different park in a different area in order to market your own Med-Fit Clinic in a different gym as part of our growing network of Lifestyle Medicine support services.
